Our volunteer leaders help guide education, membership programs, community outreach, advocacy, events, and other initiatives that support MMAR members and the communities we serve.

MMAR Committees
Education Committee
The Education Committee works to provide MMAR members with relevant, high-quality education that supports their businesses and strengthens their knowledge of mountain real estate.
The committee identifies timely topics, works with knowledgeable instructors and industry professionals, and helps coordinate continuing education, lunch-and-learns, Code of Ethics training, and MMAR's signature Certified Mountain Area Specialist (CMAS) program.
CMAS is an MMAR-exclusive designation designed to provide REALTORS® with specialized knowledge related to buying and selling mountain properties. The committee also helps maintain MMAR's DORA-approved CMAS curriculum and supports continuing education opportunities for CMAS designees.

Advertising & Social Media Committee
The Advertising & Social Media Committee helps tell the MMAR story.
This committee supports MMAR's communications, branding, member outreach, event promotion, social media presence, and efforts to make Association information timely, engaging, and easy for members to find.
Members who enjoy marketing, communications, social media, photography, design, or creative brainstorming are encouraged to get involved.

Affiliate Committee
The Affiliate Committee provides a voice and connection point for MMAR's Affiliate members.
Meetings include Association updates, upcoming events, sponsorship opportunities, community outreach, member engagement, networking opportunities, and ways Affiliates can become more involved with MMAR and its REALTOR® members.
All MMAR Affiliate members are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee focuses on creating a welcoming, valuable, and engaging experience for MMAR members.
The committee supports New Member Orientation, membership appreciation programs, member engagement, networking opportunities, and signature MMAR events throughout the year. It also helps identify new ways MMAR can strengthen connections among REALTORS®, Affiliates, brokerages, and Association leadership.
If you enjoy events, hospitality, networking, or helping people feel connected to MMAR, this is a great committee to join.

Community Outreach Committee
The Community Outreach Committee connects MMAR members with meaningful opportunities to give back throughout the communities we serve.
From supporting local nonprofits and community organizations to volunteer projects, donation drives, fundraisers, and special events, this committee helps demonstrate that REALTORS® are invested in far more than real estate — we are invested in our communities.
Activities vary throughout the year based on community needs and opportunities.

Wildfire Committee
Wildfire is one of the most significant issues affecting Colorado's mountain communities. MMAR's Wildfire Committee works with local and state partners to provide education, resources, and awareness related to wildfire preparedness and resiliency.
The committee brings together REALTORS®, fire professionals, insurance professionals, municipalities, mitigation experts, and community partners to help members and residents better understand wildfire risk and preparedness.
Mission Statement
The MMAR Wildfire Committee is committed to building valuable partnerships among fire departments, REALTORS®, insurance professionals, municipalities, and community ambassadors to help residents better understand mitigation, evacuation, insurance, and wildfire-resilient homes.

Additional wildfire resources include Rotary Wildfire Ready and Colorado Project Wildfire.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee works to educate, promote, and advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the real estate industry and the mountain communities MMAR serves.
The committee supports education, conversations, community partnerships, and initiatives that help ensure housing and the REALTOR® community are welcoming and accessible to all.

Task Forces & Working Groups
Some MMAR initiatives do not require a traditional monthly committee structure. These groups meet based on current projects, legislative activity, events, and Association needs.
Government Affairs Task Force
The Government Affairs Task Force helps keep MMAR members informed about legislative, regulatory, and local government issues that affect real estate, private property rights, housing, and the communities within MMAR's jurisdiction.
The group works closely with the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) while also maintaining relationships with local elected officials, government agencies, and community leaders.

RPAC Working Group
The RPAC Working Group supports education and awareness surrounding the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) and the importance of REALTOR® advocacy.
RPAC is funded through voluntary REALTOR® investments — not member dues — and supports candidates and issues that advance REALTOR® interests, private property rights, homeownership, and healthy real estate communities.
The working group helps MMAR educate members about RPAC, encourage voluntary participation, and create engaging opportunities to support REALTOR® advocacy.

Young Professionals Network Working Group
MMAR's Young Professionals Network (YPN) creates opportunities for emerging real estate professionals to connect, learn, lead, and become more involved within their brokerages, Association, industry, and communities.
Through networking, education, mentorship, community involvement, and leadership opportunities, YPN helps develop the next generation of REALTOR® leaders.
