Our committee discussed possible NAR grant opportunities. We discussed whether we might have Brother Jeff come to speak to our membership, and we discussed the possibility of having Richard Rothstein (author of The Color of Law) come to speak to our members, possibly in conjunction with DMAR and SMDRA. We also will continue to foster the relationship with Resilience 1220.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Meeting Notes - November 2022

Our mission is to educate, promote and advocate diversity, equity and inclusion for our community.

The committee has decided not to conduct a survey of the membership about DEI, but rather, will focus on how we can achieve our mission and serve our membership. Our sponsorship of the Center for the Arts Evergreen will continue into 2023 and include the January or February event (tbd). We discussed the DEI calendar that is on WorkTango (thanks to Carmen Elam). We will each look over the calendar before our December meeting to mark which dates we’d like to include in our 2023 MMAR Eblasts.
